FACILITIES...
We have a double and twin room available.
Both are en-suite with shower and w.c., centrally
heated and offer magnificent panoramic views over
Marshwood Vale and the village of Whitchurch
Canonicorum. Both rooms have tea and coffee making
facilities (and a chance to sample the splendid
products from the local Moores Dorset Biscuit
company), colour TV with teletext, radio with
clock alarm, hairdryer and shaver points.
Our breakfasts are served using locally sourced
produce wherever possible.
We offer a full English
or Continental breakfast or you might like to try
our locally smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels
or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
If you prefer a vegetarian option or have special
dietry requirements then we can also offer this
with prior notice.
There are a number of inns and restaurants in
Lyme Regis, Bridport and the surrounding area. In
our immediate vicinity the Five Bells Inn is ten
minutes walk down a country lane. It's an
unpretentious friendly local and offers good
locally produced beer (Palmers of Bridport) and
food at reasonable prices.
Whether you visit us in order to walk, cycle or
generally explore, there are many things to see
and do in one of the prettiest parts of England.
Why not start off right from our front door with a
six minute walk to the top of Hardown Hill
(National Trust) to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic
view of three counties, Lyme Bay, stretching from
beyond Portland Bill in the East, right across to
Dartmoor.
Golden Cap, the highest headland on the
South Coast is a favourite walk with our visitors.
Test your skills at finding 90 million year old
fossils on the local beaches. If you are staying
more than two nights then we can lend you fossil
hunting equipment, binoculars, maps and walking
guides.
