HOW TO GET HERE...
From Bridport:
Follow A35 heading West (signposted Honiton &
Exeter). On entering Morcombelake continue for
approx 1km.
Turn right at lane signposted Whitchurch
Canonicorum. Continue heading gently downhill for
approximately 600m on this winding country lane. A
double gated, cream and green painted house
will appear on right side. At the far corner of
this house, turn right up Taylors Lane. Continue
past a cluster of cottages and carry on up this
winding single track lane. Wisteria Cottage is further
up the hill on the left hand side of the
lane.
From Lyme Regis:
Follow A35 heading East (signposted Bridport &
Dorchester). From Charmouth by-pass ascend hill
for approximately 1 mile. On passing the
Morcombelake sign,look for speed camera sign and
immediately after that a crossroad sign. Take a
sharp left hand turn off the A35 (turning is
identified by red coloured ashphalt on main road),
onto a lane. Continue heading gently downhill for
approximately 600m on this winding country lane. A
double gated, cream and green painted house will appear on right side.
At the far corner of this house, turn right up
Taylors Lane. Continue
past a cluster of cottages and carry on up this
winding single track lane. Wisteria Cottage is further
up the hill on the left hand side of the
lane.
Arriving by train:
South West Train's from London Waterloo station to
Axminster Station arrive every two hours with an
approximate journey time of 2½ hours.
The 31 Bus to Weymouth departs outside Axminster
within 5 minutes of the train arrival and stops at
Morcombelake, (Ask driver for "The Ship"
bus stop). Journey time is 35 minutes. We can then
pick you up from the bus stop. Alternatively, we
also offer a complimentary transfer to and from
Axminster Station when given sufficient advance
notice.
